Firstly, don't get put off by the building maintenance work to get to Level 3 where the hotel is located. This lift is small but perfect and the stairs are easy as well. The staff were extremely helpful, always happy to help. As a solo traveller I also loved that front desk had someone 24x7. They also offer a luggage storage, long & short term. I booked the hotel for it's location, a 2 minute walk to Roma Termini, and it was 2 minutes. I booked an internal room, with large windows that could open which was great. The view was nothing special, but it was quiet. As one night only, I wasn't concerned about the view. The room was quiet, high ceilings, standard room amenities but loved the fridge & safe. It was a good size & I can say the bed & pillows were very comfortable. The bathroom did have a step up the toilet which was unusual but you got used to it. The shower pressure was good & water hot. I did not eat at the restaurant due to travel times only, but did find ample restaurants around the area for all times of the day. Would definitely return.

Again, don't get put off by the building maintenance work to get to Level 3 where the hotel is located. This lift is small but perfect and the stairs are easy as well. (see my review on November 19th as well) I hadn't intended to book again on this Rome visit but my initial hotel could not extend my stay, AND I am so glad they couldn't. Upon my return I was lucky enough to be upgraded from my internal room to a street view room. The room was great, full of light, with windows that opened, big wardrobe, safe & fridge. The bathroom was large & product was very nice. Booking a street view would be highly recommended. While the furnishings are older in style, the rooms are spotless, linen fresh and white. The staff as always were helpful & knowing someone was there 24x7 gave great piece of mind. I did not get a chance to try the breakfast, however the hotel did recommend 'The Bramble' for dinner, it was close by, the food & beverages good. It did remind me a little of an American Sports Bar, but not overly noisy.

First time in Rome, didn’t know what to expect with the hotel. Very pleased with what we had. Hotel staff was lovely, accommodation was perfect for what we needed. Very clean and spacious room. Breakfast was great but not included (8 euro). All in all very happy. Within 5 mins walk from the train station. Then walking distance to everything, colosseum, if you wanted a good walk you can walk to the Vatican and basically see all you want to within walking distance. Great stay R.

The location near the train station is excellent for someone wanting to sleep then catch the train to the airport. There are plenty of places to eat nearby including the places at the train station like Eataly and some pizza by the slice places, etc. The area is as safe as can be considering its closeness to the station. There is also a smaller grocery store nearby where you can get anything you need. I didn't hear any noises during the night from other people coming and going.

Daniel

The Hotel Marco Polo is very comfortable. Helpful, kind, pleasant, and hospitable administrators. Special thanks to David, he was really nice and helped me with all the questions. The location is also very convenient - near the station Termini, so there wasn't any problem finding the hotel. I really liked it, I stayed here for the 1st time but obviously will come back when I have a trip to Rome. Thank you for the cleanliness, comfort, and pleasant communication. See you soon.
